Vagabond Thigh Straps

Thigh straps thread through the clip rings that are on all of our sit-on-top kayaks

Used when paddling through rapids and in ocean surf, thigh straps connect you to the deck to prevent waves that wash onto the deck from lifting you off the kayak. If you do capsize, you will easily slip free.

Thigh straps come standard with our Dumbi surfkayak and the Usutu whitewater sit-on-top. They are additional accessories for the other models.

A length of webbing or tie downs can also be used as make-shift thigh straps but remember to tie and tuck-in all long ends as long ends trailing in the water can pose a safety risk.
